The Prana Pratishtha ceremony is one of the most sacred and cherished events in the Vaishnava tradition. In ISKCON, this divine ritual signifies the invocation of the Lord’s eternal presence within the Deities, transforming beautifully crafted forms into living manifestations of Sri Sri Radha Krishna and Their eternal associates.
During Prana Pratishtha, Vedic mantras, kirtans, and elaborate rituals are performed by senior Vaishnava acharyas and priests, inviting the Lord to reside in the temple for the benefit of all. From this moment, the temple becomes a sacred abode, where devotees can personally experience the mercy of the Lord through darshan, seva, and devotional practices. This powerful ceremony not only sanctifies the temple but also purifies the hearts of devotees, uniting the community in collective service and glorification of the Lord.
